June 19, 2025
The Scioto Valley Fire District is proud to recognize and thank American Legion Post 584 for their gracious donation of a CMC Double Clutch TTRS Kit and additional rope rescue equipment. This advanced gear represents the latest technology in technical rope rescue, and its addition to our resources marks a significant upgrade to our rescue capabilities.
The CMC Double Clutch TTRS (Two-Tensioned Rope System) Kit is a cutting-edge tool designed to enhance safety, control, and efficiency during rope rescue operations. It will be a tremendous benefit to our department, enabling our firefighters to perform complex rescues with greater precision and confidence.
In response to this generous donation, Chief Thomas led a training session this evening to introduce our members to the new equipment. The session also included a comprehensive refresher on rope fundamentals and essential knots, ensuring our team is well-prepared to integrate this equipment into real-world rescue scenarios.
We are deeply grateful to American Legion Post 584 for their continued support of local emergency services. This partnership reinforces the strong bond between our fire district and the community we serve.
Thank you again to the members of Post 584 for your unwavering commitment to public safety and for helping us better serve those in need.
